TRUMPET LESSONS:
As a Trumpet Instructor I specialize in the Claude Gordon approach, as a student of the longtime Claude Gordon student Jeff Purtle. I can help you achieve Consistent and Beautiful sound, articulation, range and endurance and build the strength and ability to play varied repertoire! We will work on developing a Daily Routine that covers the fundamental aspects of trumpet playing. With a practice plan, you will always know what to practice and why!

JAZZ LESSONS: 

As a Jazz Trumpet Instructor, with University Jazz Studies teaching experience, I'm available to help students learn about the history of Jazz Music, understand Jazz Harmony/Melody/Rhythm, and find their voice as an improvisor and composer. We will work on Transcribing Jazz Solos, learning melodies and harmony in 12 keys and building a repertoire of songs to improvise on, as well as instrument specific techniques in the jazz vernacular. 

 

ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS:

I have experience teaching all ages from kids as young as 4 years old to Senior Adults. 

I'm able to teach Beginning to Advanced trumpet players, as well as beginning to advanced Jazz Improvisors. ​

My students have gone on to have careers as musicians and have attended some of the USA's top music conservatories such as University of North Texas and University of Missouri-Kansas City.

In Lessons: 

• We work together (teacher and student) to create a roadmap for your learning to cater to your goals!

• You will need: Instrument, Pencil, and attitude ready to learn 

• For Trumpet lessons, no prior experience is necessary. 

• For Jazz Improvisation lessons, I do require that a student has been playing their instrument for at least 1 year, preferably 2-3 years.

  Lesson Rates: 

• Single Lessons: $100 per 1 hour lesson, once lesson is paid we will schedule a lesson time. 

• 5 Lesson discount: $450 package for Five 1-hour lessons. once paid we will schedule the 5 lessons. 

• Weekly Lessons package: $72 per week for on-going 1-hour lessons, or $40 for on-going weekly 1/2 hour lessons, billed monthly.
